Most web hosts in India advertise a first-term price that only lasts until your first renewal. After that the plan renews at a higher "regular" rate, and that's the price you'll pay for as long as you stay. This guide shows how big that jump is at the major hosts and what to check before you buy.
Why the price jumps
The advertised price is an introductory offer, usually tied to the longest term the host sells. You pay the whole term upfront at the low rate; when it ends, the plan renews at the standard rate. Nothing about the hosting changes, only the price.

Checklist before you buy hosting
- Find the renewal price, not just the first-term price. It's usually in small print near the plan card ("Renews at …").
- Check the term behind the headline price. A low monthly figure often needs 36 or 48 months paid upfront.
- Check whether prices include GST. Many hosts list prices without it, and 18% is added at checkout.
- Look at what's free only for the first year: a domain, email or SSL that's free in year one can renew at full price.
- Read how coupons work. Discount codes usually apply to the first payment only, not renewals.
- Add up the domain separately: a ₹1 first year can renew at over ₹1,000 a year.
